5月23日，在《华尔街日报》CEO理事会峰会（CEO Council Summit）上接受采访时，埃隆·马斯克（Elon Musk）谈到自己的日程安排，称自己一天中的大部分时间都在工作，凌晨2点才会休息。

“正如你想象的那样，我的一天非常长，也非常复杂。而且有很多角色‘切换’，这是相当痛苦的。”马斯克说道。

今年已经51岁的马斯克，不仅是电动汽车及太阳能板公司特斯拉的CEO，同时还担任着社交媒体平台推特的以及太空探索技术公司（SpaceX）的CEO。为了同时管理好手下公司，马斯克称自己规划了一个时间表，称“一天负责一家公司”。

但是这样的安排并不容易实现。马斯克举例道，周二是“特斯拉日”，但在这一天的晚上，他可能也需要处理推特的相关工作，因此这一天就变成了一部分时间分给特斯拉、一部分时间分给推特。类似的，周四的安排或许会变成“一半spaceX、一半特斯拉”。

马斯克承认，由于各个工作之间“相互交织”，“时间管理变得极其困难”。他表示，自己不像其他高管一样，有全职行政助理帮忙规划日程，他只有一名兼职助理，大部分日程和其他事情都是自己安排和处理，因为“其他人不可能知道事情的优先级别”。

一直以来，马斯克身上都被贴着“工作狂”的标签，他在采访中透露，自己一天中的大部分时间都在工作，凌晨2点左右才会休息。

刚刚收购推特时，他曾透露自己睡在推特办公室里。在2018年接受《纽约时报》的采访时，他也表示自己每周工作长达120个小时，有时甚至直接睡在特斯拉的工厂，除2001年因患疟疾卧床休息较长一段时间，他从未有过超过一周的假期。

尽管对自己的时间进行严格安排，但身兼数职仍然对马斯克的公司造成了影响。去年10月底，马斯克以440亿美元成功收购推特，随后的两个月里，特斯拉股价下跌了一半以上，因为投资者担心，在竞争越来越激烈的情况下，马斯克在特斯拉上花费的时间会越来越减少，今年4月，特斯拉股东曾公开敦促特斯拉董事会，确保马斯克将更多时间投入到特斯拉中。

目前，马斯克正在计划从CEO过渡为执行董事长和技术首席执行官，负责监督产品和软件等。前NBCUniversal（NBC环球）的广告主管Linda Yaccarino将接任CEO职位。在2023年特斯拉股东大会上，马斯克表示，推特当前已经进入“稳定状态”，他不需要在这一社交媒体平台上投入大量的“增量时间”。

美国消费者新闻与商业频道（CNBC）认为，推特本质上是一家科技公司，作为首席技术官，马斯克面临的工作可能会很苛刻。

对于特斯拉，马斯克并没有“放手”的打算。他在股东大会上表示，自己不断受到媒体的负面报道，这并不是很有趣，但他依然很乐观，“有时工作的痛苦程度非常难以忍受”。

高管的继承人一直是外界关注的焦点，被问及是否安排接班人时，马斯克说道，继任是最棘手、最古老的问题之一，“自古以来，这一问题便一直困扰着国王、首相、总统和CEO们。”

马斯克表示，他已经告诉董事会，在所有情况中，“最坏的情况出现”时会选择谁来接管公司。不过他也强调，就谁应该接替他的位置这一问题上，公司的董事会可以有不同的意见。

对于特斯拉，外界猜测该公司的首席财务官Zachary Kirkhorn将是马斯克认可的继任者之一。
